Join, or Die News 11/13/24: Lefties want to quit using X, Corporate News Outlets are tanking and more!
Happy Wednesday, here's your news, commentary, and links!
The Liberal meltdown has been in full force since Trump was declared the victor. While Trump was always the target, it seems like a new public enemy is slowly surpassing him as number 1, that’s Elon Musk! (more to come on that.)
On the political front, Trump has made some choices for his administrative positions. Probably the most interesting was the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, headed up by Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Will they actually accomplish anything? We can only hope. Vivek has been speaking for years about gutting the federal government, cutting thousands of useless money grabbers.
With the massive mandate Trump and his allies received last week, it certainly feels like a major cultural shift is about to occur. The left-wing ideological capture that has inundated our society, media, big tech, education, and government is being threatened by a new wave of anti-establishment thinking. They pushed their ideology too far, drawing considerable backlash. Making everything they touch worse doesn’t help their cause, either.

News & Commentary
📰📰Don Lemon and The Guardian are trying to inspire the lefties to leave X.
It feels like it was just yesterday when Donald Trump, then the sitting President of the United States, was booted from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms. Conservatives on those platforms were (and many still are) censored, shadowbanned, suspended, and attacked regularly. That was the grand heyday for the left-wing controllers of the public square.
Nothing was more satisfying for these liberals than watching outraged conservatives cry for help. Their pleas fell on deaf ears. Many on the left would try to encourage their detractors by saying “if you don’t like it then go and start your own Twitter.” They would add that line in constantly, just changing the platform. “Go and start our own YouTube,” “start your own Facebook.”
Conservatives did just that. They first started Parler, which was subsequently the victim of a Big Tech/establishment crusade. They followed it up with GETTR, Gab, Trump’s Truth Social, Rumble, and other platforms.
These new platforms stayed popular for a time but never surpassed social media's true kings. The free speech movement, however, has taken over.
The leftist tech authoritarianism started to raise red flags. Anything that veered from their precious ideology was flagged, shadow banned, canceled, or the cause of a permanent ban. In the same vein as the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror, the number of social media beheadings was blatant and ridiculous, catching the eye of billionaire Elon Musk.
Musk’s Twitter, now X, stands on one thing only. That is free speech. According to leftwing publications, media pundits, politicians, supporters, and more, allowing free speech is dangerous. Let me translate: allowing conservatives to expose our crap is dangerous. Yes, attempting to take over every major institution in this country is dangerous.
Today, 11/13/24, the movement to leave X has begun. Disgraced former CNN host Don Lemon is officially quitting X.
According to Lemon, X once was a place for “honest debate, discussion, transparency, and free speech.”He then complained about X implementing new terms of service, under which any lawsuits against the company would be brought before a conservative Texas court. That was enough to push Lemon away.
If a left-wing court handled lawsuits, then that would be okay for Lemon.
The Guardian pinned an article on their profile, announcing they’re leaving X as well. According to the publication, X has become a place filled with “racism and far-right conspiracy theories.” So, the company is pulling its articles off of the biggest news aggregator in the entire world.
What The Guardian claims is that “far-right conspiracy theories” don’t fall under the purview of free speech. However, it’s okay to lie constantly about your opposition, claiming they’re Nazis, racists, fascists, and whatever stupid lies are espoused.
Anybody who is blatantly racist on X is immediately flagged, and their content is downranked, usually blocked from view unless you actually want to see it. Being a toxic moron is the best way to gain no followers or have your content seen. It’s the most a free speech platform can do aside from banning people outright who aren’t in violation of free speech rules.
The leftist meltdown surrounding X is certainly tied to Trump’s major victory. Trump is a racist, fascist, sexist, hateful dictator, by the way, and the owner of X supported him. Trump’s supporters and pundits were allowed to speak freely on the app. Independent news organizations, who say things counter to corporate propaganda outlets, are able to gain a following there, surpassing the “expert” media types.
The only problem with this strategy of quitting is, it will accomplish nothing. Despite the mass conservative exodus that occurred in 2020-21, Twitter went on like it was just another day. Conservatives still trickled back in without realizing Elon was on the brink of buying the giant.
Lemon claims he’ll be on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and the new fediverse site BlueSky. Lemon is leaving X over its alleged conservative-leaning, one platform, to remain on a list of blatantly left-wing platforms. The new decentralized BlueSky once a project of Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, has just become another leftist echo chamber.
The problem with choosing social media platforms based on politics is that everything is about politics. While I appreciate the new alternatives to these legacy platforms, if you join Gab, Truth, or any other platform that exists as a home for political refugees, everything on there is politics. The conversation rarely veers from political or cultural issues. It is not exactly an incubator for debate or new ideas. It’s just an echo chamber.
Don Lemon, like many leftists, can’t handle the dwindling ideological capture they once enjoyed. Now, suppose he only uses “left-wing” platforms because X allows evil conservatives and conspiracy theorists to head over to these other lefty communities. In that case, you can’t possibly win anybody else over to your side.
Democrats just got trounced in this election. They failed to sell their ideas and figure out what the people wanted. Mingling with those you disagree with allows you to actually correct your mistakes and do better next time.
While I’m not complaining, if Don Lemon and The Guardian prefer an echo chamber, they have officially lost their foothold in the ideological battle occurring in the United States. Their ideas were soundly rejected. Nobody bought their propaganda and fear-mongering. They prefer a place where they can continue doing that with their allies patting them on the back. Go ahead, but it’s pointless.
Further, they will be back. It’s hard to stay away from where the action is. The echo chamber life is extremely boring and not even remotely intriguing. That’s from my perspective, though. The leftists clearly seem to enjoy having complete control and living in an echo chamber. Maybe they will stay away, but I doubt it.
📰📰The media push to combat Trump was a desperate ploy to survive.
Remember when Trump turned the “fake news” narrative back on the media? It planted a seed. When that glorious plant finally bloomed, the media was on its way down toward an inevitable demise.
Corporate media has spent the last 8 years on a deranged bent, obsessing about Trump. They have managed to radicalize a large contingent of Americans who now believe any absurd claim they make. Despite that, the media had lost almost all credibility with their disastrous handling of Trump’s prior administration and the Covid Pandemic.
While a mandate was made by the American people who chose Trump again, it was also a national admission that nobody bought the media’s lies anymore. The constant push to make him out to be Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and others didn’t take. The corporate media’s desperation to maintain the establishment’s status quo failed, and it cost them. It not only costs them any conservative or centrist audience members, but it also costs them their own.
CNN and MSNBC are both collapsing. CNN has lost 40% of its audience in one year, while MSNBC has seen a 23% drop.
CNN is now believed to be forced to cut out some of their bigger contracted stars. Anderson Cooper gets $20 million annually, while Erin Burnett brings in $6 million. Oddly enough, Kaitlan Collins makes a $3 million salary. All that for a network bringing in less than half a million viewers on Thursday, November 6. On Friday, CNN had only 611,000 prime-time viewers. (https://www.mediaite.com/news/just-in-msnbc-ratings-crater-on-friday-as-viewers-tune-out-post-election-coverage/)
Anderson Cooper averaged 743,000 viewers in 2023. That is for a guy making $20 million a year.
CNN's ratings, along with those of MSNBC, tanked immediately after the election. MSNBC features the chief propagandists in Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow. Reid regularly blamed Trump’s rise on racism and regularly stoked fears about Trump’s alleged fascism. She also tried to claim the assassination of Trump was staged in some way. Their blinding hatred for the new president and his voters is remarkable.
With corporate news outlets no longer very profitable, Comcast is putting up MSNBC for sale, along with Oprah’s Oxygen network, CNBC, and Bravo.
Fighting the demise of the media is futile at this point. There’s no benefit to watching them espouse their establishment-supporting garbage anymore. Independent media has won out, and it’s not because of a new penchant for extremism and conspiracy theories. It’s due to a desire to know the truth. Corporate media outlets no longer monopolize information, and they can be fact-checked immediately.
The instant ability to fact-check the corporate media outlets is a major reason they despise free speech. Platforms like X and Rumble refuse to engage in shadow-banning or censorship, allowing the truth to reach a much wider audience. This pits the media outlets against everyday Americans who can instantly spot their lies.
CNN and MSNBC will only be missed by elderly viewers, a group that is slowly dwindling. The expertise and authority of the 24/7 corporate news channels have been supplanted by independent outlets, podcasts, publications, and commentators. They made their own bed; now, they have to lie in it. If they wanted to remain relevant, they should have prioritized the truth.

Trump taps Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk for a new department to clean up the federal government.
Vivek and Elon have been chosen to head the Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E). This is part of Trump’s larger plan to finally drain the swamp. The pair will be responsible for cutting needless government regulations and useless bureaucrats and reducing spending.
Trump called D.O.G.E the “Manhattan Project of our time.”
Vivek ran his campaign based on cutting back the stifling government bureaucracy that eats piles of American dollars. Elon Musk attached himself to Trump’s campaign, and the pair bonded over removing useless federal government employees.
The massive, bloated American federal bureaucracy sucks up U.S. dollars. Government agencies notoriously submit massive budgets with inflated price tags to maintain their money supply. It’s time for these leeches to go.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump sat at the White House to discuss a smooth transition.
I know it doesn’t seem like it, but Biden is still the President of the United States. With a smile on his face, he sat down and talked to Donald Trump in Trump’s new office. The pair sat in front of an oval office fireplace and seemed relaxed and happy.
The two prefaced the conversation with a handshake (where body language readers claimed Trump tried to assert dominance) and Biden congratulated Trump on his blowout victory.
Now that the election’s over, Biden seemed willing to drop the facade. While he perpetuated this idea that Trump was the nation’s greatest threat, he seemed civil and happy to meet with the president-elect.
Trump’s wife, Melania, however, refused to meet with Jill Biden. Melania, understandably, holds a grudge toward the Bidens. While the meeting is tradition, Melania wasn’t ready to move past the weaponization of government that sought to ruin their lives.
According to some sources, Melania is not happy about the FBI raid on their house in 2022. Most of the cases against Trump that were used as a way to disqualify him from the election are now being dropped after his victory and knowing that Melania has every right to refuse a meeting. Her family saw their lives disrupted, her husband shot, and her home raided, all due to rhetoric and the weaponization of government as used by the Biden White House.
Biden and Harris destroyed the American economy, making it hard to even cut bloated bureaucracy without risking a recession.
Biden’s penchant for public spending and government jobs leaves Trump in a precarious position. Biden’s “booming economy” depended on constant spending and government job creation. The administration saw low private-sector investment, high taxes, and major government spending as left us in a bad situation.
Almost 25% of Biden’s job creation came from government jobs. With all of these factors, the necessary slashing of federal jobs will inevitably lead to a short-term recession. This is the sad reality that Biden is leaving Trump with. Unfortunately, it needs to happen.
